Pastor Henry L. Goodwin
Pastor Henry L. Goodwin is a native of South Carolina. He was ordained to Christian ministry and called to his first pastorate at age 22. He has been in ministry for 49 years and has served as Senior Pastor of several churches in South Carolina. He attended His Excellence Theological Seminary where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in theology. He was ordained Bishop in October of 2014.
Pastor Goodwin provides Christ-like leadership, preaching, counseling, shepherding, and encouraging believers toward maturity in Christ, and non-believers to a life in Christ. He became Pastor of Kingdom United Church in Jesus Christ in 2025.
He is the founder of Conquerors for Christ Apostolic Ministry. The ministry’s mission is to fulfill the great commission spoken by Jesus Christ in Mark 16:15: “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” The mission can be summarized by stating that God has anointed Bishop Goodwin to usher His people to a level of victory and power as was communicated by Apostle Paul in Romans 8:37: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
He also serves as Bishop Prelate/President of New Hope Christian Fellowship of Churches, Inc. Mission is “We are to preach the gospel to the poor, teach God’s Word to His people, and help young men and women grow in the likeness of Christ; while making disciples.”
Pastor Goodwin is anointed by God to deliver the Word in season and out of season. He is a devoted and committed man of God, a man of prayer, a man who knows and accepts that the work of a Pastor is challenging. He has committed his life to doing all things though Christ who strengthens him. He’s Christ-centered, Spirit-filled, and truly puts his faith in God in action. Always willing to lend a hand to those who call on him, he is committed to being a Servant of God and doing His will.
He is a devoted husband to his wife, First Lady LaVern Goodwin, a loving father to his children, a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.
