Who We Are

We're a Church founded on community, compassion, and reconciliation. Love One Another guides us in our relationships. Come & See--You might find you belong here! Our Church embraces unity, kindness, and belonging to a group of individuals who care about one another, just as you are. Everyone is welcome here! Love and service, forgiveness and fellowship, dignity and meaning, interact to create a community of empathy, respect, and support without reciprocity. Giving to those in need is highly valued. Together we make a family.
Kingdom United Church in Jesus Christ is a multiracial, gospel-centered church committed to unity in the Body of Christ. We are a welcoming faith community where people of all backgrounds are invited to know Jesus personally, learn to love like Jesus, and serve like Jesus with love and compassion.
Guided by Matthew 4:23 — Jesus went about teaching, preaching, and healing — we seek to reflect the ministry of Jesus Christ in both word and deed. Founded by God on July 23, 2020, our church is rooted in giving, prayer, obedience, and a calling to reconciliation. Our Church held its first service on October 5, 2025, at its permanent home, 21215 Buckhorn Quarter Road, Courtland, VA 23837.
We are Founded on 5 Guiding Principles:
Multiracial/Racial Reconciliation; Gospel-Centered; Get to Know Jesus Personally; Learn to Love Like Jesus; Serve Like Jesus
We believe the Church should reflect Heaven — a place where all are welcome, where lives are restored, and where faith is lived out through love, humility, and service. Love Like Jesus is our guiding star!

FAQs
"I'm New Here" Belong Here First You don't have to figure out everything to belong.
Do I have to believe everything to come?
No. You don’t have to have it all figured out—or agree with everything—to be here. Questions, curiosity, and exploration are welcome. Belonging comes first. Our guiding principles focus on knowing Jesus, loving like Jesus, serving like Jesus, and living out reconciliation together.
What kind of church is this?
We’re a multiracial, community-centered, Christ-led church focused on faith, healing, growth, and unity. We value honesty, compassion, and real-life conversations over performance or pressure. We’re a nondenominational 501(c)(3) church.
Will I be judged or pressured?
No. There’s no pressure to join, give, or serve. We respect each person’s journey and move at a human pace. You’re welcome here exactly as you are—bring your questions included.
What’s the vibe like on Sunday?
Relaxed, welcoming, and thoughtful. Some dress up, some don’t. You’ll experience meaningful music and teaching that connects faith to everyday life. Kindness prevails.
Do you have programs for youth and families?
Yes & No—and we’re building them with youth and parents, not just for them. Because we’re a new church, our youth ministry is being shaped through listening, collaboration, and shared vision. You’re invited into the process. We want to hear your thoughts.
How are youth involved in shaping the ministry?
Youth have a real voice here. We believe young people thrive when they help imagine, plan, and create the spaces meant for them—alongside trusted adults and parents. Our youth help design the ministry they’re part of.
What if my family hasn’t been part of church before?
That’s completely okay. Many families here are starting fresh or returning after time away. You won’t be singled out or expected to “know how church works.”
Is this Church inclusive and multigenerational?
Yes. We intentionally bring together different races, ages, and backgrounds. We believe healing and growth happen best in connected, multiracial communities where everyone belongs. You have a voice here and are listened to.
How do I get connected without committing?
Start by visiting, joining a conversation, stopping by Worship Service, or attending a youth or family gathering. No pressure. No sign-ups required. Take your time and see if this feels like home.
Why are you focused on community and healing?
Because faith should help people live healthier, more connected lives—not just on Sundays, but every day. Community isn’t a side goal here—it’s central to who we are. Faith--Family--Friends--Fellowship!
